If it has a QR code like George's phone, then scan it and you'll be able to return the item in no time.
You can either use any contact details left by the owner, or send a message via Boomerang with the "Found Me" button.
If it has the format: theboomerangtag.com/8-digits, you can enter the 8 digits below to start the same return journey. Or you can enter the website address directly into your browser.
You can even use your phone camera to scan and follow the link!
What happens when you find an item and scan to return
Contact finders direct, or via Boomerang if you'd prefer
Finders might have chosen to show information you can use to contact them.
If a finder hasn't shown any information, you can still send them a message via the "Found Me" button
Send the owner a message with where the item is, and how they can get it back.
Leave your number with Boomerang so we can notify you should they respond.
Owners will be notified that you have left a message.
Owners can respond to you the finder via Boomerang as well.
If they respond we will send you an SMS notification to the number you leave with us.
You will be able to send and receive further replies if needed.
One way or another, you'll get the owner's item returned!
The amazing part to Boomerang is that neither the finder or the owner need to share personal details for the item to be returned.
